We took our honeymoon to Italy, specifically Rome and the Amalfi Coast, and I cannot tell you in words how magical it is there. It truly is my favorite place in the world.
Deciding which city to print and which photo to use on their new Text Art Mapiful was so fun and took us through so many great memories from our trip.
It was like a mini staycation to Italy!
TIP ONE
Where to eat…
In Rome, travel off the tourist areas to find food.
If the menu has pictures or is all in English, don’t go there.
If you’re looking for authentic Italian, go where locals go. An easy way to spot this is to walk at least a few blocks from the main street and look for cafes that have an older crowd rather than tourists.
TIP TWO
Where to go…
While in Rome, seeing the Vatican is a must! Even if you aren’t religious, it is an amazing experience.
The history, art and just overall feeling of being there is remarkable.
Highly recommend getting a small tour guide to skip the line and for all the BTS you wouldn’t get on your own!
TIP THREE
Why you should avoid taxis…
In Amalfi we quickly discovered the cheapest way to get around the coast was by ferry.
Avoid taxis and buses if you can and jump on the ferry to go from town to town.
You can ride from Minori to Positano for about $8 a person!
TIP FOUR
What to buy…
Ship wine home!
We discovered a place in the town of Amalfi that shipped cases back to the US.
We didn’t have to worry about bringing them in our suitcase and they arrived within days of us getting back to the US!

Where to live…
Take in the Amalfi coast view from Ravello. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed and if you go:
