You can see shooting stars throughout the year. Peak viewing for meteor showers vary each year. Major events include the Perseids in July and August, Quadrantids in December and January, and Geminids during December.
In the winter, look out for Auriga, Canis Major, Canis Minor, Carina, Eridanus, and Monoceros. Orion and Taurus are also visible from late December to late March. In the summer from late June to late September, check out Cassiopeia, Cepheus, Draco, Ursa Major, and Ursa Minor. The constellations Sagittarius, Scorpius, and Hercules are also prominent.
